Britain oldest brewer, Shepherd Neame, is officially unveiling its brewery following an extensive restoration and the installation of two ‘new’ mash tuns:
DATE: Thursday 1st June
TIME: Noon – 2.30pm
Local shipwrights have helped to repurpose the Kentish brewer’s 100 year old brewing vessels – the last remaining solid wooden tuns in the UK – as part of an extensive refurbishment of the brewhouse.
We are hosting a celebratory lunch with guest of honour Jim Koch, found of the Boston Beer Company, and there is some last minute availability for BGBW members.
Beer writers are invited to join the event and take part in round table interviews with Shepherd Neame chief executive, Jonathan Neame and Jim Koch.
