Brockholes pub, The Rock Inn has re-opened its doors to customers following a £35k interior refurbishment. Award winning owners, leading Northern brewers Daniel Thwaites, invested in the popular local after it was closed during the summer. As well as having an experienced new licensee behind the bar in Tracey Ferguson, the pub now boasts a brighter, more modern and inviting interior, a new pool and dart room, refurbished toilets and renewed bar area. Catering to ale lovers the inn will now provide a wide range of Thwaites’ cask ales including the popular 4.1% ABV golden ale, Wainwright, Thwaites Original and a seasonal guest ale, currently the 4.9% ABV festive ale Good Elf. Tracey, who has over 20 years’ experience as a bar manager, is relishing the challenge of running the new look Rock Inn: “Before its closure earlier this year, The Rock was a popular local and a great community pub. I’m really looking forward to returning the pub to its former glory and there’s lots of excitement around our reopening.
