Following on from the ‘Pride of Norfolk’ award at the Norfolk Food and Drink Awards, Woodforde’s Norfolk Ales is delighted to have won four prestigious accolades for three of its beers at the annual Society of Independent Brewers Awards (SIBA), judged by fellow brewers and industry experts.
Flagship ale Wherry (3.8%) scooped two accolades, winning Silver for Best Bottled Bitter (up to 4.9%) and Bronze for Best Standard Bitter.
Popular tipple Nelson’s Revenge (4.5%) won Bronze for Best Premium Bitter and Norfolk Nog (4.6%) took Bronze in the Bottled Porters, Milds, Old Ales and Stouts category.
Woodforde’s Brewery Manager Bruce Ash collected the awards saying: “We are extremely proud of our beers but it’s fantastic that our industry peers think as highly of our ales as we do. Almost half the beers in the Woodforde’s portfolio walked away with an award, which is testament to the variety and consistent quality of our beers”.

Wherry (ABV 3.8%) – Style: Bitter Fresh and zesty with crisp floral flavours.
Sundew (ABV 4.1%) – Style: Golden Subtle and refreshing.
