VELTINS PILSNER FLIES THROUGH FULLER’S ESTATE

Fuller’s, the London based brewer and retailer, recounts that Veltins Pilsner is flying through its managed and tenanted retail estate.  Fuller’s launched the award-winning premium Pilsner on draught, just prior to the London Olympics in July 2012.  The World Beer Category is thriving and continuing demand for premium lagers has resulted in the sector growing in the UK by a significant 17 per cent year on year.* This is reflected in the speed in which Veltins on draught has grown in distribution  in London and the South East through the deal with Fuller’s.

Cara Gullick, Veltins Marketing and Sales Manager based in the UK explains: “The quality of the product coupled with the premium branded glassware has meant that Fuller’s publicans are reporting Veltins is proving very popular with their customers.”

Adam Sykes, Manager of Shaws Bookseller in Central London said: “The quality of Veltins beer, partnered with staff knowledge and distinctive German glassware are the key factors driving sales.”

Gerry O’Brien the Manager at the famous Churchill Arms in Kensington agrees, he said: ‘Veltins is beginning to really take off, sales are steadily increasing, due to the attractiveness of the glasses and with our staff getting behind the beer’.

Veltins Pilsner (4.8% ABV) is brewed using the natural water drawn from the brewery’s own spring — which has its source in the mountain range in Sauerland, near Dortmund where the brewery is located.  The beer adheres to the ‘German Purity Law’ of 1516.  This regulation states that only the purest ingredients (water, barley, hops, and in modern times, yeast)) can be used in the production of beer.

Veltins is one of the largest-selling Pilsners in Germany.  It has a close partnership with Porsche and is the sponsor of the Porsche Mobil Super Cup, the international motor racing series supporting the FIA Formula One World Championship.  Veltins also sponsors FC Schalke 04, one of the country’s most successful football teams, who play at the 61,000-capacity Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen.
