What happens when a Dutch Brewer, an English Brewer, both fans of a Canadian rock band, join forces in a Scottish Brew House?

The answer will be on the bar of your local JD Wetherspoon pub soon!

Yep the bad rock based hints have all come together to reveal the collaboration brew between Lodewijk Swinkels and Don Burgess , recipe made over the internet, brewed when the brewers got together at Caledonian, and on the bar near you soon.

The name? Fly By Night – after the second album released by Rush.

The Pump Clip [it is an exclusive cask only release for JDW’s] features an Owl in an homage to the album cover, and the cask beer is made using maple syrup to add a hint of Canada to the beer.

The style? It is a Red Dubble Ale, combining the styles of both brewers and their breweries. Unfortunately , Don is unlikely to see it as he will be in Toronto promoting the Freeminer Brewery! He does intend to visit Lakeside Park and the horse shoe Tavern for a Rush fix though!

Hope you enjoy the beer!
