About the Event

As usual The Charles Faram HopWalk will be organised by us and 7 other hosts for a free day packed full of innovation, learning and great networking. Only difference is, this time it will all be online.

Charges and booking
The Charles Faram HopWalk day is free of charge. It’s better if you register in advance so that we can keep you up to date with what to expect and get any goodies out to you.

Networking
You will have time for networking, and the online facility allows you to join tables to chat with each other via video, share each other’s screens and move around from table to table as you please. You can also visit our supplier partner booths and pick up their hand-outs.

Appointments
We have decided not to pre-book appointments for you as we usually do. Giving you more flexibility to drop in on your preferred supplier representative when they become available. That’s not to say that you can’t arrange your own appointments beforehand.

Crops
There will be videos from our international colleagues including tours of the hop yards and explanations of the hop growing year. We will also discuss new hop varieties and experimental hops and give you the chance to ask any questions you might have.

Green hops
Sadly, this will be the first year you can’t pick up your fresh hops from the HopWalk. This does mean that you haven’t got that mad dash home to get brewing with your fresh pickings.

Get your fresh hops delivered to your door by ordering from the office as soon as we advise that they are available.    Cones at harvest have moisture content of nearly 80% before they are dried down to below 12% for packing. Therefore, we suggest that you increase the addition rate by five to eight times more than you would normally use.  We also suggest just using them at the end of the boil or in a conditioning tank for aroma only.

Hop bines
Perfect for using as decoration. we will have hop bines available to collect.  These will not have been dried and so will need positioning very soon after you receive them.
As with the Green hops, please place your order with the office for delivery.

More information
It’s best to register in advance so we can keep you up to date and guarantee you’re included in the list for any goodies that we send out.
