Award-winning brewery launches limited edition beer for Rugby World Cup

An award-winning brewery has launched a limited-edition beer to mark the Rugby World Cup.

Woodforde’s Brewery’s exclusive pale ale, Tap & Go, is available for pubs to stock throughout the tournament.

Brewed with a combination of British, American and New Zealand hops, the 4.3% session beer is brimming with tropical fruit notes and aromas.

Bruce Ash, Brewing Manager at Woodforde’s, said: “As big rugby fans, we’re extremely excited to launch our exclusive beer for the Rugby World Cup.

“We take great pride in everything we brew and this one is certainly special. Tap & Go is a clean and crisp beer full of character and flavour.

“I’m confident rugby fans watching the tournament in their local pubs will love it as much as we do.”

Tap & Go combines Maris Otter barley and Caramalt with First Gold, Summit and Chinook hops during the initial brewing process. The flavour is then intensified adding hop pellets from strains including Cascade, Mosaic and Nelson Sauvin at the final stage.

The limited-edition pale ale joins Woodforde’s selection of award-winning beer including the popular Wherry and Nelson’s Revenge.

James Ramm, Head of Sales at Woodforde’s, said: “Woodforde’s Brewery is known for its delicious beer, and Tap & Go is a perfect example of that.

“The fantastic pubs we have across the country will undoubtedly be full of Rugby fans from this Friday – and what’s better than watching rugby? Watching it with a quality beer in hand!

“We’re sure Tap & Go will be a hit with patrons and it’s available for pubs to stock throughout the tournament.”

Woodforde’s Brewery was founded in 1981 and is located in the Norfolk village of Woodbastwick.
