Get the great taste of a Fuller’s pub roast in the comfort of your own lockdown dining room
Fuller’s, the premium pubs and hotels business, is bringing the delicious taste of the great British pub roast to homes across England this Mother’s Day with the Fuller’s at Home Sunday Roast. Whoever you are cooking for this Mother’s Day – the Fuller’s at Home box, complete with a cook-a-long video from Celebrity Chef and restaurateur Brian Turner, takes the pain out of providing the perfect roast chicken dinner.
Each box provides a full three-course treat for families, starting with Fuller’s London Porter smoked salmon from the Severn & Wye smokery complete with sourdough bread and a dressing of cold soft-boiled eggs, capers, gherkins, herbs and mayonnaise. The star attraction is a stunning whole roasted lemon and thyme chicken, all ready to be just popped in the oven. As you would expect from any good Fuller’s pub roast, the meal is completed with roast potatoes, pigs in blankets, apricot and chestnut stuffing, minted peas, braised red cabbage, cauliflower cheese, honey and thyme baked carrots and, of course, Yorkshire puddings and lashings of gravy. To complete the meal, diners will enjoy a fabulous pudding of Paul’s warm chocolate brownie with cream. Each box also comes with a complementary bottle of English sparkling wine from Laverstoke Park Farm – one of Fuller’s favourite suppliers – for the Mum in your life.
The box, which costs £120 for four people or £155 for six, comes complete with fool-proof instructions and the whole meal is prepared and ready to just be heated and served. From culinary experts to kitchen virgins, everyone will be able to treat their Mums and their families to a first-class pub roast – it’s the closest thing to actually being back in the pub.
Fuller’s director of food (and the man behind its famous chocolate brownie), Paul Dickinson, said: “There is nothing better than enjoying a fantastic Sunday roast in a great Fuller’s pub. But as that’s just not feasible at the moment, we are offering the next best thing – the chance to recreate that experience in your own home.
“We’ve taken the best ingredients from our traditional Sunday roast menu and we’ve taken all the hard work out of preparing a Mother’s Day feast. Instead of spending hours and hours in the kitchen, the Fuller’s at Home Sunday Roast comes beautifully prepared for even the most inexperienced of cooks to deliver a beautiful banquet.”
Celebrity chef and restaurateur Brian Turner, who has endorsed the Fuller’s at Home Sunday Roast, said: “Everyone loves a Sunday roast – it’s one of the great British culinary experiences. Mums everywhere deserve a treat and Mother’s Day is normally the busiest of days in pubs across the country. With our wonderful pubs currently locked down, the Fuller’s at Home experience is a great way to bring a bit of that Sunday roast magic into your own dining room.
“I’m a big fan of Fuller’s Sunday roasts – I particularly admire the way Fuller’s works with fantastic suppliers like Severn & Wye and Laverstoke Park Farm. The commitment to both the quality of the food and the high standards demanded of its suppliers are second to none. I can honestly say that this Fuller’s at Home box is a great alternative although, like most of us, I just can’t wait to get back into the pub in person.”
