“The Place To Beer” Campervan Brewery to Open Its New Beer Garden In Leith

After more than a year of closure due to the COVID 19’s pandemic, The Scottish Brewery has decided to transform its beloved community taproom into a fantastic beer garden.

A long-standing project

The Brewery Beer Garden has been a long-standing project for Paul Gibson, founder of Campervan Brewery. Announced as one of the taproom improvements in their crowd-funding campaign in 2018, the transformation initially planned for spring 2020 had to stop due to the Covid 19 outbreak.

Paul Gibson, Founder of Campervan Brewery to say:

“The beer garden has been in the back of my mind for quite a long time. We had this space at the front of the brewery and I could see it becoming an amazing place where people can come and chill under the sun with a pint of Leith Juice”

Championing local

With 10 beers on tap, the Beer Garden will showcase Campervan brewery classics alongside the finest of the Scottish and UK’s craft beers, as well as a selection of wine, local spirits and soft drinks.

In the next few weeks, the beer garden will also open its doors to local food vendors and pop up to keep supporting Edinburgh’s thriving food & drink scene.

A space for the community

With 20 tables and a capacity up to 100 people, the Brewery Beer Garden aims to be a hub at the centre of Leith Community and will be hosting a series of events throughout the summer.

“Our taproom has always been open to everyone and we’ve been lucky enough to work on a lot of different projects in the past, always close to the community and to our values of inclusivity. With our new beer garden it’s really important for us to keep being a part of this and to always give back to Leith and the community that has been supporting us from the very beginning.”

Campervan Brewery Beer Garden is opening today, Wednesday 28th of April. The Beer Garden is taking booking as well as walk-in, and is dogs and kids friendly.

About Campervan Brewery:

Started as a way to find some respite while he was looking after his family afflicted by illness, Paul Gibson began to professionally brew beer in 2015 in his garage or in his VW Campervan converted in a mobile brewery, “The Hoppy Camper”.

After struggling to keep up with demand, Paul decided to open The Campervan Brewery in Leith in January 2017.

The brewery hasn’t stopped growing since, with the opening of a taproom in August 2017 and the increase of their brewing capacity from 50HL to 120HL in 2019.
